Last 2 days have been busy.

Pete is managing the site like a champ. The last two days the RW2 footings have been completed and work cracked on with the RW1 footings.
Our Plumber Brendan was on site on Sat morning to connect up the sewer line and we had a mini digger in there to dig the sewer line trenches. The Aggy pipe connections through the footings have been installed to meet the locations where the formed up pits are going to be.
Up near the top end of the driveway, we have a 600 pipe running underground and Pete has installed a wire mesh area for where the shotcrete will go - just in front of the headwall running into the pipe.
Pete told me it was like a sauna in there. I can imagine. Well done Pete.
Unfortunately, there was not enough steel for the RW1 footings and Pete will need to pick the the rest of the steel on Monday to complete the steel cages.
Inspection of the footings is planned to happen on Monday 26.11.2012.

Where it all started...

We saw this add in front of a realestate agent and decided to make an offer.  After some negotiation, we finally secured the property for AUD$182K.

Wall cutting done, aggy pipe and behind-wall fill installed

Today was a big success, the rest of the wall was cut by allcoast saw cutting and the drainage behind the wall was installed. This consists of an aggy pipe with aggregate stones on top and finally soil as the final layer. Peter was able to use the stockpile of soil on site and ordered exactly the right amount of drainage gravel (10 meters) for the job. Well done Pete!

Footing steel installed and a much needed arrival

Toe footing steel RW2 section was installed, excess dirt and rocks were taken away and the toilet arrived on site (very good news)
