3rd Section of driveway being prepared - day 3

The prep work for the 3rd and final section of driveway is complete. It's now ready to be poured on the 7th Jan 2013. Pete and his team have done an impressive form work design, maximizing the use of the very tight space there at the kerb.  It's going to look great!

Today involved preparing for section 3 of the driveway, forming up and cleaning up the completed sections of driveway (steel bars protruding) with a grinder.

3rd Section of driveway being prepared - day 1

Today was all about removing the formwork from the previous section poured on wednesday and forming up the last section of driveway to be done early in January.
Pete's tried to use as much space as possible in the very narrow section we have there near the kerb.

2nd Section of driveway poured

Today was another success story in this project. Another massive slab of concrete was layed (16.2cm3) worth - down the sweeping curve of the driveway.  The boys did a great job.
The next slab will be the last section down to the kerb and we'll have to wait 2 weeks until the concrete company reopens after the christmas holiday break.
As far as progress goes, we hit all our targets before christmas - well done Team!

1st Section of driveway poured

Today was D-day, the start of the finale for this project - the 1st section of driveway was poured in spectacular style. All hands were on deck and even some some extra help from ex-clams drummer - John Shortland was brought in to tackle this beast of a concrete slab.
