Retaining wall nearly completed

Ford Blocklaying aren't mucking around, they are almost done with the wall and the curves that have been created are looking spectacular.  Pete also ordered a chilli bin as we need to cart the debris left over from the wall construction this coming week. There's quite a bit to do once the wall has been built, installing the aggy pipe behind the wall and waterproofing it for starters. Let's hope the weather holds up.

Where it all started...

We saw this add in front of a realestate agent and decided to make an offer.  After some negotiation, we finally secured the property for AUD$182K.

Footing steel installed and a much needed arrival

Toe footing steel RW2 section was installed, excess dirt and rocks were taken away and the toilet arrived on site (very good news)

Wall cutting done, aggy pipe and behind-wall fill installed

Today was a big success, the rest of the wall was cut by allcoast saw cutting and the drainage behind the wall was installed. This consists of an aggy pipe with aggregate stones on top and finally soil as the final layer. Peter was able to use the stockpile of soil on site and ordered exactly the right amount of drainage gravel (10 meters) for the job. Well done Pete!
